Driving to down to Cork this evening and I couldn't resist stopping by for an hour at a great site where I have caught many before. Annoyingly missed a bird with a ring on it, but caught two new ones!

Three different caught during CES at today. An adult female (pale lower mandible to beak), an adult male (all dark beak), and a youngster (shorter black beak, plus dark feet). Thanks for help .

A dry spring in Thetford Forest can be very rewarding. It’s alive with redpoll, brambling and Siskin at the moment. Judging by the brood patches there should be young Siskin and Crossbill on the wing soon!
