Neil was born in St Just and grew up with The Brisons as the backdrop to his childhood. It’s no wonder he is able to produce such evocative and beautiful paintings of this place he knows so well.

I thought I’d share Cloud Shadow by with you today. Painted at Cape Cornwall, St Just, it looks out over a dark sea to clouds scudding past The Brisons (in Cornish: Enys Vordardh, meaning breaker island)
It’s an extra special place for Neil as he was born in St Just
