A trip up to lovely Alwinton today in the Cheviot hills, always a good bet for a Whinchat sighting, brief views of one today, they blend in really well with upper valley flora, watercolour sketch. Have a good night and long weekend all 👍🍻

‘Looking West’, Acrylic on stretched canvas, 33"x23" inches.

The view looking across a field near Morwick with the outline of the Cheviots cast a subtle blue-green, backlit by the sunset. The first 'big picture', I did for my exhibition, it opened up a new way of working for me.

A beautiful fox at sunset in the Cheviot hills. I sat watching my local badgers and it ran behind me, off up the hill to find some dinner.

Anyone had any snow yet? When I was out on Saturday I could see some of the tops of the Cheviots in the distance. Very festive. ❄️ Have a good day everyone. I’m starting my Christmas shopping today (yes, I did say starting 😱).
