Today is World Autism Day, and it is also Autism Acceptance Month.
Luckily, I work full time as an illustrator. I am part of the 14% of Autistics in full-time paid employment. 22% of Autistics are in paid work.

With the SENSORY anthology coming out soon, I wanted to repost my initial comic I made for the first #ASDComicTakeover, which has since been updated! I just fancied seeing what people would think of it now... https://t.co/g1fehk63jA
Less than 20% of autistic adults are in full-time employment. Many of us drop out of the workforce after just a few years. Why is that?
Today I'm posting my comic about Autistic Burnout as part of #AutisticComicTakeover! (2021 comic)
There has been a lot of research about autistics over the years, but this one really took the cake! 🍰
Find out what happened when researchers attempted to compare the moral compass of autistic and non-autistic people...

Now, we can't deny that blue is a very popular & beloved colour.
But is it a good colour to represent the autistic community?
Well… let's talk about that. (thank you to @Schnumn for helping me with the script) (1/3)

(5/5) How can we combat this? Well, the more we look into other cultures and how their language is shaped, we’ll understand more about their views and how to find the right words to get the point across.
Thanks for reading! 💛

(4/5) And some other times, translations just don’t do language justice and can make communication way trickier than it should be.

(1/5) Another comic! This one was made in collab with @piumchie, an uruguayan illustrator. We thought it was important to show our experience as third world artists in an english-dominated world.

And the truth is, history will hardly ever be peaceful. It can be very triggering and unfair. And more often than not, you won’t be straight up be taught the truth, only the whitewashed version that makes others look good. (4/6)

Thought that I’d say my piece as it’s acceptance month, all statements are from my own experience, and shouldn’t be taken as fact, if you’re taking me as a credible I suggest you seek therapy lmao #AutismAcceptance #AutisticComicTakeover #AutismAcceptanceMonth
Here's my contribution for #AutisticComicTakeover explaining Meltdowns and Shutdowns~
This is a tricky and misunderstood topic. Everyone's experience is pretty different- if you like feel free to share what your experience of meltdowns is like too! #AutismAcceptanceMonth
