A recent Microwave pass shows that has a VERY strong, compact eyewall. The storm is now sporting a clearing eye, and very intense structure.

Latest JTWC estimate has it at 150MPH and 919MB.

A recent microwave pass over shows the development of an eye. Visible imagery confirms that there is a very shallow, cloudy eye forming.

This is occuring despite dry air and wind shear affecting the core, meaning that it may indeed be starting to intensify

is so massive, its moisture plume covers all of the Bay of Bengal, and almost all of southern India. A good chunk of the moisture enters the Arabian sea, too!

Such a large storm can greatly affect the atmosphere around them to benefit them.
