Iceman, Rogue, Gambit and Cyclops.

There's many more, but if I gotta narrow it down...

We were on the same page so far. I mean, what was so extreme about Bendis' Scott?😭
Also, if Bendis' Cyke was so extreme, what about the current Xavier, Storm, Kitty, Kurt, Jean, Magneto, including Cyke himself, with all those supremacist/eugenics speeches and monsters in Krakoa?

Scott's like the lanky, lonely kid at school, always being mocked by the bully-boy and his cheerleader girlfriend and their bootlickers.
And among the bullies are students, teachers, the school principal, everyone.
But it doesn't matter, cuz we Cyke fans know how amazing he is.⬇️

🧵🧶
I've been looking at what a lot of Cyclops fans have been saying about how he's been represented in this Krakoa era, and now specifically, about Kurt's choice to bring Steve back, 'cuz Scott wouldn't be the leader they need.
And y'know, Cyke fans are giving up on him. ⬇️

I mean, isn't that what they said when Cyke decided to accept Magneto on Utopia? 🙄😏⏬

Just think that if Cyclops had invited monsters like Apocalypse, Mister Sinister, and the Shadow King to be Utopia's council members: everyone, absolutely everyone would be calling Cyke a villain and a monster. ⏬

To understand why they did this, it's first necessary to understand the great purpose of UA and everything that has involved the x-books in the last decade: that is, trying to convince us that Cyke had become a monster comparable to the Red Skull, Apocalypse and H#tler himself.⏬ https://t.co/GeMCukN9Jh

Are you ready for some comics!? 🔥 A variety of books today! Looking forward to them all honestly, but Knights has me nervous for my guy Gambit. Heck X-Men has me nervous for Cyke. Kraven wearing Beast’s fur oddly has no negative impacts 😅 And more of the classic Cajun!!

2 13

That was the post-Schism editorial policy, trying to convince us at all costs that Cyke had become a monster comparable to En Sabah, Rd Skull and H#tler himself. And to do that, they made the XMen sound like complete assholes, and then they made Cyke himself say he was a monster.

I think Bendis is only a tiny part of the problem. Yes, it was his Avengers that invaded Utopia, he also wrote the infamous AvX, as did Hickman, Brubaker, Fraction and Aaron, and his X-Men were so cruel to Cyke, but his Cyclops was amazing.

Emma had no influence over Cyke, but the weight of mutant genocide committed by an Avenger on his shoulders did.
Steve and the Avengers just acted like cops, as they always do. Cable had told Cyke that they'd try to stop his father and Hope from saving the mutant ppl, as they did

Also yes, Cyke is a white character, but it's no coincidence that he has become the favorite of many of us black people.

Wonder is this conversation where Cyke calls out Cap is referred to in Judgement Day when the Avengers enter the fight.

AXM Cyke would be ashamed of this krakoan Cyke.
Maybe Nick was right after all.
I mean, in addition to Magneto/Emma, there's also Essex, Apocalypse, the Shadow King and even Cassandra Nova, the same one who committed the genocide atack in Genosha, killing over 16 million mutants.

I don't hate 'em, I hate the editorial policy they used to try to destroy Cyclops.
And they keep reminding me how unfairly we Cyke fans and our fav character were treated.
It's the same feeling I have towards some x-characters, also the Avengers, Steve Rogers and this Krakoa era.

0 6

Xavier/Krakoan methods is even more abhorrent.
Krakoans are even more assholes.
The x-characters betrayed everything they used to stand for.
All those who walked away from Cyke are currently doing the same and even twice what he did, and the Phoenix is currently an Avenger.
