I usually make it just BARELY off white (blue/grey) then shade with darked blue/grey and add white highlights ^_^ these are very old so theyre a lil ugly but like these :] oh i also add a touch of light pink!

humm there's nothing special or unique process, i usually take these processes: line > flat color > shading > colors the line > detail, so when i finish to add shading on flat color then i clip the line layer and choose the main darked(or high chroma) color, and then change some!
