Also you dont have to use black line work in super dark hair. You can go over it after you color it (if digital). light greys make the lines not get buried under the darkness.

Whether you like AI or not, for me these textures is hard, if not impossible, to replicate with with a brush (irl or digital). It’s the way AI blends colours, make cuts, interpret my initial brushstrokes. A chisel don’t leave marks like a brush. AI is for me a way to paint.
