This dove - shaped bronze finial is on display in our Chinese Collection. During the Han dynasty, men who reached the age of 70 would be awarded a wangzhang, or king’s staff, topped a dove as a symbol of their wisdom

Have you ever looked at this painting from our Naples Collection and wondered how Mary's robes look so blue? They are painted in Ultramarine, a pigment made from Lapis Lazuli. It was extremely expensive and so was reserved for the most important saints
