March 9, 1847, Mary Anning dies aged just 47. Carpenter daughter, she founded a fossil business in Lyme Regis, Dorset, making important discoveries like complete skeletons of Ichthyosaurus, Plesiosaurus and the flying reptile Dimorphodon 🦴🔨

A random almost-end-of-year thread of all the palaeo-illustration work from 2022. A few bits missing that are currently under NDA’s… maybe next year. Anyway, I hope you enjoy scrolling through. Thalassodromaeus, Sahelanthropus, Dimorphodon and Mammoth. (1/8).

Some of the other times I've drawn Dimorphodon, in varying degrees of speculation / inaccuracy.

Ruru is my dinosona!! she's also my main/fav sona n i've been using her most to represent me. she's a dimorphodon, technically a pteradon and not a dino but it falls under the dino umbrella nonetheless

Love how you have all the iconic British Jurassic reptiles like Plesiosaurus, Ichthyosaurus, Dimorphodon and Scelidosaurus and then there's just Stegosaurus wandering out of the sea like it just swam across the proto-atlantic

I haven't had any time to draw for fun lately, although the stuff I'm working on is PRETTY FUCKIN' COOL just NDA... So here's a little dimorphodon.

1. Dimorphodon 2. Pteranodon
3,4 are these.

Although among the earliest pterosaurs described, in this case by Buckland in 1829, a detailed description of the whole skeleton has never been published, although Dimorphodon quickly became established as important & it’s been widely depicted in palaeoart (as in this Burian)

Can't resist answering this for my non-WoL Au Ra. Shonkhor wouldn't be a dinosaur, they'd be a pterosaur, probably a Dimorphodon, with toothy "beak" and long tail. (Illustration by Gabriel Ugueto/@.serpenillus) https://t.co/PZ9NqVo5w7

Been dabbling with a little sculpting as of late. I’m not planning on making every dinosaur, but I’m having fun practicing.

Practicing in CSP more with a pterosaur, Dimorphodon. Still need to find some better analogies for brushes I'm used to from SAI2. I did use the fancy timelapse feature for this one though, see it in replies.
