Qiao Fengtian, the MC, is very much like the titular flower.

Disparaged by his backward-thinking hometown after getting outed, he's regarded as lowly/crass...but he radiates beauty nonetheless, and staunchly tries his best to make the world less harsh for people he cares about.

And I don’t want to disparage artists, whether they be pros or fans, who try to redesign or bring their own spin to Plastic Man’s costume, because their designs are just as valid to many as the original. I don’t think they’re really WRONG for trying new looks for Plastic Man.

My take: It is one thing to have a preference. It is entirely another to write someone off because you don't agree. fans who hate because the fights aren't as flashy & disparage people for liking the original series are small dick energy personified.

Feeling worn down is valid and it can be good to take time to work on drawing in styles you’d like to master or be better in. I’m working on a variety of things myself. Don’t disparage the hard work you’ve put in and look forward to future growth!

Artists and designers charge their rates according to their time, skill, cost of living, licensing fees, etc. There’s artwork/an artist out there for every budget. It’s ok if something isn’t in your price range, but what we won’t do is disparage/ belittle someone’s work/rate.

2. GOOD ANATOMY… Questionable lineart!
Tracing comes from a completed drawing, not a sketch. As a result, there will often be:
1) Lack of line pressure
2) Shaky lines
If the quality of the art has a huge disparage, please be careful!

...at some ease while outside, the Freedom Force arrives on scene and attacks.

Joined by a sort-of-newly-minted Spider-Woman Julia Carpenter (like here to give Jessica Drew something to angst about, as is Claremont's favorite thing to do with his disparaged female characters)...

Joss Whedon threatened to harm Gal Gadot’s career on JUSTICE LEAGUE and disparaged Patty Jenkins.

One witness says "Joss told Gal he's the writer, she's going to shut up & say the lines and he can make her look incredibly stupid in this movie."

Comics are hard and I'm not going to disparage anyone taking what shortcuts they can but i do find it really amusing that three separate panels on this one page seem to copy/paste this shot of Julie-Su

People love to disparage the humanities these days but the more I read about social media the more I think that if tech leaders like Zuckerberg had a bit more training in literature, art history, philosophy, et al., our world would not be in the parlous state it's in right now
