Juni Ba est un artiste sénégalais, à qui on doit Djeliya paru chez TKO, Monkey Meat en cours chez Image, et pas mal de couvertures. Il est définitivement un des artistes à suivre actuellement.

6. Djeliya by . TKO. Djeliya’s fables tell individual stories, moral plays and histories that build together to tell a unified fairy tale of a world torn apart by its paranoia and fear of one another.

Finally got a chance to sit down with ’s DJELIYA, which is a delight of a book. It’s a propulsive, heady, immensely charming little meditation on how we engage with our pasts and how we use them to shape our futures, with a really strong voice and outstanding cartooning.

The tag line I chose for Djeliya came from the Wizards trailer. If this book is ever adapted, I’ll push for the marketing and general feel of it to imitate these old films
