Day 15 of #Paleoctober2022: Heterodontosaurus
(Irritated by a curious Dracovenator)
Dracovenator, found in South Africa, likely would’ve been among the largest theropods of its time. The fossils date back to the early Jurassic, roughly 200 mya. #TheropodThursday #dinosaurs #paleontology
Ignych is a combination of "Ignite" and the Greek word "Nychos" (Claw).
Nychos is based on Afrovenator, a Megalosaurid theropod that lived in Middle Jurassic period in Africa, hell even its name translates to "African Hunter". It also draws minor inspiration from Dracovenator.
A close relative of the Dilophosaurus, this exotic predator is a vicious one. Dracovenator will eat pretty much any animal smaller than itself. Dracovenator’s bite is laced with a mild venom which becomes lethal in high doses delivered through repeated bites to the prey animal.
An assortment of Jurassic theropods: Ceratosaurus, Cryolophosaurus, Piatnitzkysaurus, Serikornis, Dracovenator, Eosinopteryx. If you are interested in commissioning some work you can DM me or contact me through my website https://t.co/gqNqGTCsD4 #paleoart #dinosaurs #sciart
