The coat of arms of Hasekura Tsunenaga is the first (that I know of) example of a Japanese armiger with European heraldry. Tsunenaga was a Christian ambassador to Spain and the New World, and his arms featured a manji (swastika), keeping with Japanese monshō tradition.

The Canadian Heraldic Authority is the body responsible for matters of heraldry in Canada. Their coat of arms features unique "Raven-Bears" as supporters, which represent the roles of ravens and polar bears in the mythologies of many First Nations peoples.
