The early art has him more nimble & mischievous-looking than the final design (which is more towering & imposing)
I feel the concepts closer fit the ‘schemimg advisor’ idea, & probably changed when they made Belos to be Emperor
When me and my brothers were kids, we played a lot of games together. I remember being huddled up playing Final Fantasy 8 and losing our minds at this scene!
