JEREMIAH GURNEY (1812-1886)
Gurney was born in NY state & worked in the jewellery trade before learning Photography, and set up what was known as a ‘Daguerrean Saloon’ on Broadway.
The sketch below depicting what the interior looked like in 1840. Leslie & Hooper engravers.
