the getting started part is always the hardest for me, but i took this edge in red here, extruded out, and separated it from the head! from there it's just shaping, which is harder to demonstrate in snappy screenshots 👩‍💻

but it worked pretty well for getting that side part!

Hands need some work. Here, look at this. I made it using Blender's "Skin" Modifier. To use it, you just need a single vertex to start, then you extrude the vertex to make the shape. Pressing Ctrl+A will allow to scale the skinned geometry per vertex.

I always disliked the 4 pelican to a certain point but didn't know why. So I took the opportunity to practice a muscle to find that out.
1. Darkened the cockpit to create a focal point

Geometry Nodes つかってみました

選択部の外周エッジの盛り上げに適用しています。
ペラの板ポリをExtrude をかけ、 指定 Edge をカーブ化し、そのカーブに Bevel オブジェクト指定で膨らませて join meshです。Tiltが厄介ですがおおむねいい感じ😊
