This time the very random thing I needed to draw to picture it better is a police uniform. It is designed after Victorian police, with some small changes.

Also just like in the Victorian era, the police are not particularly well liked by the working class.

By law, Flickers must wear a jacket with a coven patch when out in the public at all times. In the case of Sheglen, that would mean wearing a Lapis Order patch.

It is considered too dangerous for a police officer to fight a Flicker, so if one goes rogue, the officer will blow a Coven Whistle. This will turn all the lamp posts in the area blue, & call for help. In the case of Sheglen, the alert sends to the Lapis Order.

Low-class magic users work in horrible conditions in factories, funneling their magic into cells like these. They are used for powering everything from airships to rifles.

She does have magic ability, but works as the pathologist of her team. Her explosive magic abilities — which ended up taking her leg as a kid — was decided to be too dangerous for the field. Luckily, Farryn has a talent for sciences.
