"A cold-blooded creature in every sense. It possesses sharp fan-like wings and ear plumage which it brings to bear on foes who stray too close."
I hold on to the desperate hope that weed cat remains quadrupedal. Friends were thinking Sprigatito would be flamenco inspired so I incorporated the frilly dress into the design + fan-like ears

Here's my idea for how Kazooie's crest could look in a hypothetical Banjo-Kazooie 4;
A mixture of its design from the first two games and some fan-like feathers from Nuts & Bolts
Here's my article on Zhu Bajie/Pigsy's literary description. Instead of a friendly, pink pig-man, the novel portrays him as a giant boar monster with a bristly mane, fan-like ears, protruding fangs, a 3-ft-long snout, & a hulking body w/ black skin.

@omochirp A lot of land-based dinos are also thought to have fan-like feathers on their tails, like this Ornithomimus as an example! They're thought of as extremely good runners, I imagine the tail could've been somewhat helpful w/steering
Ougi with a 扇! The Monogatari Wiki says that Ougi's name relates to maps of space which "are drawn in a fan-like pattern" which references her character as one that "upholds rules and order in the universe." Interesting!

Say hello to the psychic/flying peacocks!
Captavo, the Captivating pokemon, and Mesmird, the Mesmerizing pokemon!
Mesmird uses its fan-like feathers to paralyze foes instantly, allowing them to attack.
Here’s my entry for the contest! @TommyOliverSays
My character is a Japanese crane named Maiko. She fights using her fan-like wings (Tessenjutsu).
An 32x32 oricorio with it's #fan-like wings for today's #pixel_dailies
