Not to say that they don't excel with other subjects, just that they clearly dominate in 1 or 2 taxonomic areas. Some others are with Mesozoic marine reptiles, with prehistoric felids, & with Cenozoic birds, etc.

Day 6: SMILODON POPULATOR 🐅
This sabertooth from South America was the largest species (& bigger than modern tigers) and was among the largest known felids, at 220 to 436kg in weight and 120cm in height!!
