Something I particularly like about the Gimmick Puppets is that they appeal to this "disgusting through sheer detail" aspect - where something is so fiddly that it feels like teeming ants or smth and is hard to resolve into shape nicely.

Still experimenting with the coloured inks. They're a bit more fiddly to mix and prepare so I'm just using very limited colours. I don't see them replacing my good old watercolours for that reason. The layers won't lift when dry though so that might be useful for some folk!

Here’s cometiel! He’s actually Kosmotiel and when he flies he turns into a cometiel. ^^ This was a fiddly one to draw especially when considering something that can work as a sticker. I think I did the best I could.

Wanted to try Clip Paint Studio timelapse feature. Decided to do a quick test to see how it works.

I'm not used to recording myself, so I was even more fiddly than usual. Also forgot to crop the image, so the positioning is a bit wonky at the beginning.

It was fun test though~

Finished! I can’t tell you how many times I have painted over that sand in the foreground! In the end, I painted out all the fiddly detail with a great big brush and love it now!
