Back in the 2000s, the team behind Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends dove deep into the show's writing process on an official blog.
Those posts have been offline for around 15 years. Today, we unearth them to tell the story anew:

Watching Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends with some friends and I had to draw the two best characters :)

We're still nerding out over Jon Foster's work after his guest-speaking session. 🤓 The way he uses 3D Zbrush to inform his illustrations is incredibly cool.

The next Winsor McCay Award has been presented to Craig McCracken. One of the most legendary TV animation creators ever, he has been responsible for creating amazing animated shows like The Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Wander Over Yonder, and Kid Cosmic.
Very proud how accurate these turned out. I drew 'em 21 months & 6 days before an episode of Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal w/Bob Camp led me to a helpful article (https://t.co/363W9dZiLU)
Prior to that I knew little construction from Walter Foster's How to Draw The Powerpuff Girls

That's a Big Oof on my part.
I actually prefer Camp Lazlo over Foster's.
Edward really is a highlight of the show for me.
Plus, The atmosphere of the show is pretty relatable back when I was a kid to an Adult.
I've already chose Foster's as the show that needs to go. https://t.co/hZ0s6SbGcd
@Same_VoiceActor Keith Ferguson is a legend.
My favorite roles of his are that of Bloo from Foster's Home, Basch from Final Fantasy 12, and Lord Hater from Wander Over Yonder. All these voices are entirely different from each other too which makes it funny when you compare em xD

@Fucco_san It's okay Fucco, you're forgiven 💕 (To be fair I was Jane Foster's Thor, who imo looks a lot cooler)

Homage Artwork. Frazetta was open about using art, photo, and live references for his artwork. Here is his cover to ERB's Tarzan and the Lost Empire from 1962. Wally Wood did his Sally Forth strip from 1968 to 1976. Both of these were preceded by Hal Foster's Tarzan 1928-1937.
