Henry Jacob #Bigelow (1818-1890) was a prominent surgeon. He employed the artist Oscar #Wallis from 1848 to 1854 to draw a series of watercolors illustrating his lessons at the @Harvard (see pictures of femoral #fractures). #histmed #surgery
