Eleonora Carlini took over GGPR in issue 13 after Dan Mora and it was so fun to see what surprises she brought every month! Her expressions were so dynamic and her morphin/power blaster sequences were some of my faves!! Also she draws the best ladies i'm just sayin.

GGPR The idea behind Xi (pronounced Zee, btw) came from wanting to give the Blue Emissary his own Alpha. But since Zordon is usually stoic and Alpha-5 is energetic, we decided to invert the dynamic and make XI perpetually annoyed and put upon. But man, Xi is fun to write.

GGPR The inspiration for the shifting Emissaries was actually "The Prophets" from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. We wanted something familiar, but different... and I always loved how they communicated with Sisco by using the people closest to him. Steal from the best.

GGPR From the beginning, I made a checklist of things I wanted to find a way to put into the series. Hip Hop Kido was always at the top of that list. It almost showed up in three earlier issues, but this spot seemed perfect. Happy Easter!

GGPR I know this is technically TWO PANELS, but... my favorite thing to try and do in the comics is to jab some of the ridiculous stuff from the show (like everyone wearing the same color everyday) and hopefully use them for an emotional payoff... like in this scene.

GGPR This is one of my favorite morphin sequences. It was originally a completely different full page idea that I ended up having to scrap because I didn't give myself enough pages for the Ranger Slayer fight. This happens to me a lot, but sometimes good things come from it.
