Cletus was resurrected with the Grendel in Carnage Born and that Symbiote is the Carnage we’ve had in the comics ever since.

Donny Cates even went out of his way to confirm that the original Carnage Symbiote is dead and that this is the Grendel. (Dylan also acknowledged this).
