While there are things announced that I'm looking forward to... as a whole, the larger theme is DC doubling down yet again on grimdark. During a time when heroes should be offering us hope.

I'm going to be revisiting some classics soon. If only to remember who these heroes are.

Finished 's The Queen of Crows, his sequel to The Armoured Saint. A rousingly great novel that starts small but grows mightily in the telling, effortlessly blending high fantasy and gritty grimdark. It's epic, but never loses sight of its characters nor why they fight.
