Funguary day 15. Bleeding fairy helmet, Mycena haematopus. The red goo they ooze out when cut is latex apparently?

Eurasian Oystercatchers (Haematopus ostralegus) are characteristic birds of the coasts around Europe and are mainly migratory species. In winter the birds can be found in North Africa and southern parts of Europe.

I'm working on a lot of new characters lately but this one has to be my favourite! A character using the Bleeding fairy helmet (Mycena Haematopus) mushroom🍄.
Their wings glow in the night giving an ominous yet enchanting feeling to anything that sees it, but beware! 😈

Ostrero canario (Haematopus meadewaldoi): este ostrero era de color negro, y anidaba en las islas orientales. Actualmente se duda de su estado de especie, pudiendo ser una subespecie del ostrero europeo
