" Op de zuidheuvel van het slotplein vindt zijn dochter geen rust, en dat zal zo nog jaren duren...
Tot de zang der bloemen de uilen hun ogen doet sluiten, de boze kraai in slaap gesust heeft

Note the Yeti art used in Bernard Heuvelmans’ Spanish ed of On The Track Of Unknown Animals (1955) is different than the one in the English ed (1958). The change was the incorporation of the “domed” skullcap appearance of the late 1950s’ expeditions’ pursuits.

The universe of hairy hominoids remaining to be scientifically classified surround the primate zoology work of the late Bernard Heuvelmans and Loren Coleman. The multiuniverses of the fictional worlds have nothing on Hominology and Cryptozoology. ~

One of these 9 types was the YELLOW BELLY, a long-tailed, tadpole-like sea monster of tropical seas. I wonder if Heuvelmans invented this category BECAUSE of the Le Serrec monster. Does this work out in terms of timing? [drawing by D. Naish].
