@SALEMS0LARIS Congrats on 800!
I’m Anthony, I’m an illustrator as well as animator, I usually draw caricatures, faux movie posters/illustrations, oc art (and character models for them lol), etc.
Lot of my work is inspired by the retro cartoons from the 50s - 70s, and Al Hirschfeld’s stuff!
@sarahpdraws Grazie for the artist support! I am Anthony, aspiring artist and animator,
I usually draw caricatures, faux movie posters, oc art and character model sheets
Lot of my inspo is Al Hirschfeld’s work, retro cartoons, and Soviet & Eastern European animation and film from the 70s
Al Hirschfeld (1903-2003), “Liza Minnelli” (1999), gouache and ink on illustration board.
Featuring a cool animation style inspired by Al Hirschfeld, fantastic songs, and some of Disney’s best comedy mainly from Robin Williams’ incomparable Genie, #Aladdin is a true landmark of @DisneyAnimation released to theaters 30 years ago today.

Al Hirschfeld drew Telly and George Savalas for TV Guide in 1977, the same year he did the cover for Aerosmith's Draw the Line.
Sketch inspired by #ArtForCaedmon: "The Frog Prince (Hirschfeld-Verlag)"
In this sketch I wanted to depict Hans the Frog Prince in his childhood as well as his life in public. The painting is a tribute to his grandfather Hans II, a local artist and patron.

Happy Belated Birthday, Al Hirschfeld! (June 21st)
After his daughter Nina was born, he started hiding her name in his caricatures.
Here's my own caricature of Al. See if you can find the 21 Nina's.

I still can't get over how gorgeous the Rhapsody in Blue segment in Fantasia 2000 is. Due to its elaborate style in tributing Al Hirschfeld, it actually took a long time to render on Disney's ink and paint software CAPS and even delayed work on Tarzan from finishing.
