#thorntober day 24: Nandi Bear! This is said to be a creature said to live in East Africa that resembles both a bear and a hyena. I loved the concept so much that I did two! I bet this guy gives the best hugs XD
#Thorntober day 22: Montauk Monster! This was a strange animal carcass that washed ashore on a beach in New York. Pretty grim. Mine is a bit *gnarlier* than the actual thing, but I still kinda like it!
#thorntober day 20: Lusca! This is a sea monster from Caribbean folklore described by some as part squid and part shark. *shudders*
#Thorntober day 19: Kting Voar! The snake-eating cow reputed to exist in Cambodia and Vietnam. 11/10 badass cryptid.
A little late again!! Just means I get to put more into one pic for y'all though! Here's days 6, 7, and 8 of #thorntober featuring beebe's manta, a bunyip, and a chickcharney!
#Thorntober day 5: The Beast of Gévaudan, an animal which terrorised the former province of Gévaudan, in France between 1764 and 1767. There's a pretty cool statue depicting it in the same area!
#Thorntober day 3: The Beast of Bladenboro: A creature said to be responsible for some pretty gruesome stuff in North Carolina in the 50's. Legend says it looked part bear, part wildcat, with some vampire features thrown in, so that's what I went for!
first two days of #thorntober! gonna make a big image of all of these when the month is up
Day 1: Specs
Some days you reference Tilda Swinton in Gentle Monster sunglasses and then add horns until you like it 🕶️
