As midnight strikes and December 17th becomes December 18th, you might be startled by some banging sounds. This will be our seventh Yule Lad, Hurðaskellir or Door-Slammer. He doesn't steal anything – instead, he enjoys keeping people awake by slamming doors during the night!

The Door slammer, is gone home today. Now if you hear a door banging in the middle of the night you can rest easy knowing it's not him. Or perhaps, that makes you rest less easy?
