So how does it play?

On one hand, it's clearly a better game than any baseball titles on the NES (and I played them all during

On the other hand, it is quite mediocre. Griffey apparently personally disliked it, which was why a new developer was tapped for the sequel.

Up next is the demake of Indivisible by !

This is an unofficial fan game, chosen because apparently it's a great effort.

I believe this one is free to download but don't quote me on that. Never played the original.

THIS is the thread for Indivisble!

Saru Kani Panic is *gorgeous* for an NES game, but gameplay is king, and it's actually a very clever twist on the "solve puzzles by always moving in a straight line" formula games like Slayaway Camp/Friday the 13th Killer Puzzle use. It's a lot of fun! A fresh twist!

Lizard by and I know nothing about this, haven't seen the trailer, haven't seen past the title screen, don't know what type of game it is, don't know what it'll be like. But you can get it on cart here:

I'm moving on, but I want to thank Nate & Araceli for their time.

I know Araceli is watching, and I want to present her with this. Araceli, you are officially now the youngest ever winner of my Seal of Approval, earned on the merit of a GOOD GAME. Congratulations!

I'm moving on from Micro Mages, but I can't imagine a better game to show off the potential of modern developers on the Huge, enthuasitic YES! to Micro Mages by ! It's one of the best on entire console from any era, any year.

As a reminder, I do NOT grade on a curve. I know that's brought much annoyance to indie devs over the last nine-years, but it also has been pretty much my defining trait.

So when I say Micro Mages is one of the best NES games I've played, I don't mean best homebrews.

Again, this doesn't matter, but damn this is gorgeous.

I don't think I'm imagining that movement feels more responsive this time. I just loaded Ninja Gaiden 1 and indeed, Gaiden 2 feels very slightly better. But slightly can be HUGE when it comes to controls.

Huge thanks to the homebrew community for spreading the word. Homebrew 'n Hack Weekend (Oct 2 - 4), the grand finale of is filling up with amazing looking projects. I do need devs (not fans of games) to request to be included, and they must be .NES files.

I do have to get ready for church, ZOOM or not (we skipped the morning session because Angela's had a friend over).

I'll be back with the uncensored Monster Party, along with Krion Conquest, Zelda II, and more.

Including these four games:

Wow, Felix MADE THE COVER OF NINTENDO POWER!! That's having your finger on the pulse of the children of the 90s, Nintendo!

Designed by Shimada Kikaku, who has few credits. Among them is Fire Pro Wrestling? Really? Okay. Also "Hamster Paradise" for the Super Game Boy.

Honestly, Bonk's Adventure on the NES doesn't look like the massive step-down from the TG-16 version that you'd think it would. It actually looks very colorful and is among the best looking NES games I've played. Gameplay feels.. better in my opinion?! It's smoother.
