I think I know why I mesh so well with this sketch style with my new pencil. The rigid and thicker lines force me to convey more information with less actual lines, and the roughness allows me to be more imperfect than with cleaner lines.

thinking about Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects. Such a weird game. the Imperfects are technically Marvel characters, but Nemesis did so poorly that I don't think they'd ever want to touch those characters again. At least we got some cool Spider-Man and Venom art
