Kuih Semperit is Malaysian's answer to the Scottish butter cookie. Others point to Indonesia as its origin. It is usually shaped into either the dahlia flower pattern or round biscuits with a ridged, serrated surface. Also known as 'Biskut Bunga Dahlia'.
