Lochranza Castle, Isle of Arran (Scotland) my old watercolour reconstruction. Site held by MacSween & Stewart families. King Robert The Bruce landed here in 1306 returning from Ireland to claim the Scots Throne.

The ferry home from Arran.
We made it home thanks to this ferry ‘Catriona’ from Lochranza to Claonaig, and a stunning drive around Loch Fyne.

See more of my Arran sketches over on - I can’t wait to be back on my sketching travels again soon!

The ferry home.
After our crossing from Brodick to Ardrossan was cancelled, it was a relief to get this from Lochranza to Claonaig.

But as soon as we climbed to the top and saw Arran falling away behind us I wished we had been stuck a little longer!

Susan is one of the few painters practicing the art of creating paintings in layers of colorful dots to capture the vibrancy & essence of beautiful gardens, woodlands & landscapes. I love pointillism, thus I adore her work. •Lochranza Stream•
