Cheren would have a Great Maccao. Great Maccao is a great first monster to fight, not to easy, not too hard, but with enough gimicks to learn how to play MH. Fitting since Cheren's gym is the Trainers' School

Today's monster is Maccao, introduced in Monster Hunter Generations on the Nintendo 3DS.

Not only are Great Maccao's legs and tail highly developed, but he also has specialized arms that he uses for punching prey like a boxer. Great Maccao's hands are stiff and don't bend, so they're always that same spoon-like shape.

While other raptor-like bird wyverns follow their alphas closely, the Maccao packs aren't as organized or united as their brethren are. Despite being the leader, Great Maccao barely has any control over his pack, so he's often seen roaming areas alone rather than with his pack.

And then we have the usual gang monster. I wish the design of the Great Izuchi was a little more...out-there. Something like the Great Maccao that really stands out with the vibrant colour scheme.
