The ring was once given to Mafo by Cal's mother as a token of her being a member of the family.
It's actually a bracelet that she wears on her wrist, but she put it on her leg as an anklet so that it doesn't get in the way of pokemon-battle.

Art has no "best by" date. It is a little package of immortality, a slice of timelessness.
Art's often a message of the "here and now" that will serve as a gift for those to come.
Art can portray who we are and who we really wish to be.
Art's magic in its distillate form.

If only we could be kinder creatures.
Celebrating
Reveling in the joy of life.
Enjoying every drawn breath.
Maintaining a sense of innocence.
Focusing on making our lives better, where no one goes hungry or suffers from cold or heat.
Ah, wishes.

“So it is said, for him who understands Heavenly joy, life is the working of Heaven; death is the transformation of things. In stillness, he and the yin share a single Virtue; in motion, he and the yang share a single flow.”
― Zhuangzi, The Complete Works of Chuang Tzu

"So, you are an artist, MAFO. Do you paint?"
"Yes"
"Sculpt?"
"Yes"
"What else?"
"Oh, I'm a ceramicist, printmaker, metalsmith (gold and silver), lapidary, scrimshander, glassblower, and more."
"You would've made da Vinci jealous."
"Perhaps so but we'd have gotten along famously."

“#Art is a kind of innate drive that seizes a human being and makes him its instrument. To perform this difficult office it is sometimes necessary for him to sacrifice happiness and everything that makes life worth living for the ordinary human being.”
— Carl Gustav Jung

Some shout and yell, desperate for attention.
A shout is short-term.
Yelling is not sustainable.
I tend to smile.
Lingering.
Enigmatic.
Fraught with hidden mystery.
Like the countenance of the Cheshire cat - still there,
long after everything else
has disappeared.

Don’t set yourself up today.
Don’t listen to love songs if there’s nothing for you there.
Listen to mafo my darlings and remain strong 💪🏽💛

The difference in my art and the work of people like Banksy, Warhol, Koons, Weiwei, and Hirst is that in fifty years, they will be dated, out of vogue, their pop - popped.
My will still be relevant, even more and more so.
Happy New Year. Happy New Decade.

Artists are a curious lot, heads filled with mysterious images wanting to manifest in a visual sensibility.
Imagine that.
It is amazing to consider some mental impulse traveling from the cranial cavern, through the arm and out the fingers. What an incredible process it is.

There's special kind of art.
just between you and me.
Because it reaches you through the filter of yourself.
Your experiences shape this artwork that is suggestive in a personal, unique way.
What you see is special to who you are. Your very own imagination's the key.

"Imagination, manifested in vivid detail, seems worth recording. Imagination, and the charting thereof, is a fundamental purpose of my existential travail, known by most as life. The restless mind is a terrible thing to waste. Its musings can prove interesting." makes

The world can be such a cruel place. After thousands of years of recorded history, one would suppose that we would learn important lessons such as how to get along.
Learn from art. Colors exist side by side to create a big picture.
Why can't humans do similarly?
Hey! We can!
