By 4pm, General Mikhail Borozdin’s VIII Corps arrived in the vicinity of Maloyaroslavets. Fortified batteries were established on the ridge on both sides of the Kaluga Road some 2.5km from the town, where Kutuzov himself soon arrived to follow the course of the battle.

At 2am on the morning of 24 October, Dokhturov received news that Delzons had already taken Maloyaroslavets. He halted his column and sent ahead two jaeger regiments (the 33rd and the 6th) to take the town. The battle commenced at 5am as 1,000 Russians attacked 500 Frenchmen.

I represented a traditionnal dance from my Island called Maloya, an ancient dance made by slaves.
I'm pretty happy with this piece even one year after.
