It's actually been a good long while since we'd seen The Maulers actually enact a plot of their own. Cool to see that they still very much got this villain thing down considering they regularly gave The Guardians grief.

I still think Rudy is kind of a punk for sending The Maulers back, even more so in the show where he was the one who busted them out. Like they did help him and they didn't hurt anyone to do it.
And my personal favorite of the origin specials, Immortal, which Cory came back to illustrate himself. Another fun detail in the show is that when the Maulers are reviving Immortal we see him flash through some of these past lives.
So we actually haven't seen Mark face the Maulers in the show, so there's a good chance this may be their first proper on screen confrontation, I like the idea of Mark underestimating just how strong they are. I mean they used to go toe to toe with The Guardians.
Love some alternate universe variants. What would a group of Maulers be called? A Mauler Mob?
