小島監督作品の主人公はスナッチャー~MGS1までは30代で、MGS2とMGS3では若返って20代後半になりますが、MGS4~MGSPWでは40歳前後。MGSV:TPPでは50代、DEATH STRNDINGの主人公もサムを演じるノーマン・リーダスが現在51歳なので恐らくその辺り。
MGS2や3の例外はありますが年々を取っているんですよね。

Decoy Octopus' nationality is very rarely stated publicly as being Mexican; it is not listed on the official MGS1 website, in the MGS1 art book, or in the MGS4 database.
Probably in Japan, only the MGS1 strategy book and AC!D2 explain it.

Interestingly enough, according to Shinkawa's comments in the MGS4 art book, Jonathan's name was originally "Chin". And in Famitsu PS3 Vol.12, Shinkawa mentions that it was also the name of a character in Snatcher, and it turns out that it was Chin Syuuhou(陳 周鳳).

メリルの年齢設定は公式サイトでは10代ですが、1997年当時のコナミマガジンで新川さんはメリルの年齢を17~18歳と言っていたり、2009年に発売されたMGS4の画集では16~17歳と言っていたので大分設定にバラつきがあるんですよね。

そして2008年のMGS4でオールドとビッグボスの顔が完全に一致するわけでは無かったので差別化がされた!と思った中で一番上で話題にした2013年6月のMGSSOPでMGS3Dのネイキッドの顔を流用したソリッドが登場したので公式見解は二転三転されているのかなと思っています。

It's really interesting that they had a cyborg-esque chin like MGS4/MGR's Raiden. However, even though Raiden was visually redesigned in 2011 for the MGS HD edition, PSASBR had Dzu Nguyen write the concept art for the game. Didn't they give us the visual data?

If the editors of the art book who posted the comments are not mistaken, RAY's pilot in MGS4 as Snake fights in the REX might have been Big Boss and not Liquid Ocelot. I'm very curious to see what the plot of fighting Snake would have been.

ソリッド・スネークモデルのリュックに使われる漢字はE3 2006でMGS4の各キャラクターを一文字で表す時にスネークに使われた"雹"を採用してますね。本編でもちょっと出ていますが。
MGS4の漢字と言えば大体"オタ魂"なのでかなり渋いチョイスだと思います。

MGS2の頃も強かったけどMGS4で異次元な強さになってて当時笑いました。
雷電くんの好きなセリフはMGS2のローズへの無線で言う「わがまま女！」です。
