i also made monsterpop, which suffered from being a webcomic and therefor taking absolutely forever to draw (it started in 2011 i think), but which was a very fun and challenging way to grow as an artist, writer, and person (specifically a queer person)

19. have you ever made a self-insert?

when i was 13 me and my best friend had self insert OCs that we put into fan fiction and original stories, basically as characters who would act like pesky fae that would cause tons of trouble

i also had a couple cameos in monsterpop!

monsterpop is weird, goofy, romance-y, with some drama and bad puns peppered in. it's grown and changed a lot with me. i started it in college.
since then i've graduated, started a business, moved across the country 3 times, gotten married, bought a house.

my favorite things i drew in 2018

i'm really proud of the (few) illustrations i was able to create, of the work i've done on my webcomic monsterpop, and of how my pattern making and product design skills have improved.

i don't think i've ever been prouder of my work.
