It was more a remake of the creator's obscure show called "MP4ORCE: Beyond Real" with ReBoot slapped on. Very similar plot. 4 kids are the best at a game, an AI recruits them, and they fight the bad guy from the game who was unleashed by a cheat code entered by their rival.

Hefferon didn't even try to come up with anything new. He copied his previously failed cartoon from 2006 called "MP4ORCE: Beyond Real". Which features 4 teens selected by an AI for being the best at a video game to stop a cheater (*cough* hacker) & cyber bad guy.
