i just remembered when i made my own interpretation of kocos from june of last year before their names were revealed

i called them star-topians. since, y'know, *star* fall islands. their name was also a homage to nightopians from NiGHTS into dreams

You know who else has the teardrop style? Tibetan Lamas.

To me in an "As above so below" way, the teardrop shape represents a descent from a higher plane of existence into a solidification within the spectral sphere (Nightopians / Chao) & the physical sphere (Tibetan Llamas)
