Drawing fan art with complex designs is not like drawing latex... But overall, I'm happy with the result (But hey, stress testing is always useful).

4.I've hit a roadblock: the background isn't keeping up with the character portrayal. A rough or "texture-like" background always significantly diminishes the overall quality of my work.

@obsessedwraf OMG Your mc is so pretty!!! I think my MC has more blue in her overall color scheme but I put too much effect layers and filters on my drawing so it's not that visible 💦💦💦

i overall like how this art turned out, but i still struggle with how deeply to render
here, if i stare too long, her clothes can begin to feel a little muddy like too much is going on, but if i dial it back it feels like i'm not doing enough with it ;-;
I just finished reading this comic, Strike the Spark, by Maria Maranan (@/perpetualstews). The art and writing is so good and overall it's such an enjoyable read! I highly recommend to everyone.
