I am usually ambivalent about patronising the ubiquitous hardware shop as my 2010 'Tell me, Baby, I'm your handyman' shows, but now the Q crowd is calling for a boycott I might pop over first thing.

An exemplary case of our patronising view of Palaeolithic ppl seems to me the huts found at Ohalo II, Israel. These were simple structures, constructed out of branches and grasses in circular forms. Simple, yet not inept - so why do artists portray them as mere bundles of sticks?

I'm curious.

Would your call Red by his real name "Redginald" or by his shortened name "Red"?

He doesn't mind either, or possibly Redgie. Reddy sounds a bit patronising to him and though he wouldn't get angry he's be like "...hmm" and not be fond of it.

One of my favourite artists (even more so since I moved to Glasgow) is Joan Eardley, who was born 100 years ago. She captured the rough charm and poverty of the city without patronising, celebrated it without sugar coating.

WHY CAN’T MY CAKES BE AS LIGHT AS YOURS, PAM?!

Seriously patronising moments of advertising from yesteryear.

The Eight of Swords is somewhere between intrusive thoughts and martyrdom. When I read about how the symbolism of this card is all about how easy it is for the subject to escape their circumstances and they choose not to, well. I thought fuck that patronising bullshit, frankly.

Come to the OSO this Saturday for Comedy Club 4 Kids! It's a comedy club, right, but for kids. Also any adults who enjoy a swear-free hour with the international circuit's best stand-ups and sketch acts. Non-patronising. Pure awesome.

Today we are talking to about this gem and the wonderful world of Nor. We absolutely love his ability to see the world from the child's eye view, neevr cloying, never patronising. Just honest and true.
