A variety of seabirds utilize Kelp Paddies as a place to rest - shown here are Brandt's Cormorant, Sooty Shearwater, Forster's Tern, Brown Pelican, Brown Booby, Red-necked Phalarope, and Heermann's Gull. I couldn't fit ALL species here but I hope y'all enjoy this selection!

Finally completed the trinity! Wilson's Phalarope, Red (Grey) Phalarope, and Red-necked Phalarope. Phalaropes are an interesting bird family has the females have brighter more colourful plumage than the males.

One of my highlights of last year-watching over a dozen little gulls at close quarters with a grey phalarope during a September storm ,Kelling water meadows. Great variety of plumages and great to hear their rasping calls as they dipped and interacted
