Gladiusfacies, literally translating to “sword face” is a genus of #Phorusrhacidae ( the aptly titled #Terrorbirds ) that used to hunt in forests and woodlands in the #Miocene epoch.

The Phorusrhacidae (also known as terror birds) were a family of large, predatory birds. Andalgalornis stood around 1.5 metres tall but it wasn't the largest, some species could have potentially stood 3 metres tall!
Phorusrhacidae, or Terror Birds, were a massive flightless carnivorous bird during the Cenozoic Era. They lived in South America, being one of the most apex predators at the time. #extinctspecies
