I'm ngl. Something about platformers like this makes them harder than any Fromsoft title for me and probably any other game genre.
Loved the world building & characters, art, unique combat style. Game has a strong identity that sets it apart.

As a bonus, recently, I did draw a piece of Ellie and Chomp as well as featuring them as unlockable characters in a fan game that celebrates action-oriented platformers.
They remind me of Asha and Pepe and the setting is Monster World, so I felt they had to be a part of it.

Probably one of the most unique platformers out there, incredible story and characters, and challenging gameplay all around.
Lenght: Can take 15 hours, might be much more
@ClementJ64 have you tried out the freedom planet series yet? they're very good platformers calling back to the 16 bit era of games, with some good stories to boot (in my opinion)

Holy. Shit.
This is one of the coolest games out there and I'd say one of my favorite platformers ever. The soundtrack, gameplay, art, everything's SO GOOD My only problem is that it's a bit short, but it's an absolute case of quality over quantity, I can't complain.
Guys hot take, but Sonic the hedgehog is a Japanese video game series and media franchise created by Sega. The franchise follows Sonic, an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog who battles the evil Doctor Eggman, a mad scientist. The main Sonic the Hedgehog games are platformers mostly.
Four remarkable, high quality and critically-acclaimed 2D and 3D platformers that many wish had sequels. These titles are magical experiences and shine through great gameplay, level design, polish and unforgettable soundtracks.
I cannot recommend these enough!

I recently replayed Wario Land 1, 2, and 3 and god those games are so good. Just an absolutely unhinged man chomping on garlic, body slamming everything, and helping people purely by accident in his pursuit of treasure. I need Nintendo to pivot back to Wario platformers ASAP!
