After last Friday’s very damp start at the Stepping Stones, I went back yesterday - still grey and overcast (the sun came out when I finished!) but NO RAIN!

A view of & the river from the bridge, out with the on the hottest day of the year so far! I really struggled with this one! Finally caught the quality of light I saw first thing-but remind me not to do a big open river view ever again!

Overcast days can be a joy to paint in. Take your time, nice even cool light, pop chroma where u want it, very enjoyable. 10x10” oil on panel.
