Friday said she didn’t get her Birthday portrait yesterday so I just scribbled her lazing in bed. Bamboo pen with walnut ink, W&N Peat Brown ink with dip-pen, then watercolour. Lots of messy mark-making! 😄

Inktober Day 29 - Bringing Holly indoors over Winter gives protection against evil spirits and brings luck. It shelters the fairies who bring kind fortune and hopes of a gentle Spring.

Inktober Day 27- Mallard braves the Winter and stays elusively bundled in his feathers and down. If alarmed they noisily take flight with his wife loudly squawking her annoyance!

Inktober Day 14 - Autumn theme. Rose-hips hang like bright earrings from the bush and pay Autumnal respect to the passing of the flowers and glorious summer scents.

Inktober Day 13 - Autumn theme. The apples fall and litter the grass. This time the blackbirds, sparrows, dunnocks and robins feast but they share with the last few wasps, a rabbit and a queue of beetles.
